Softwood
crossties: These crossties are
normally produced with pinewood such as Ponderosa
Pine or Southern pine. These crossties
do not need incisions for its treatment. The most common ones are
7"x 8" x 8'.

Hardwood
crossties: Mainly produced from Oaks and tropical mixed
hardwoods. Incision is done by request. The most common ones are 7"x
9" x 8"6'.

Specially
sized wood:
COMAPO
can fulfill special
requests with special specifications. All the products are impregnated
with creosote through these different processes:

LOWRY PROCESS.
Consists
of injecting under pressure the wood preserver followed by a vacuum
cycle finalizing the impregnation process.

REUPING
PROCESS.
This process consists of a pressure
cycle without preservative at the beginning, followed by a pressure
injection cycle and finishing the impregnation with a vacuum process.

BETHEL
PROCESS.
This
method starts with an initial vacuum process without preservative
followed by the injection of the preservative under pressure, and
finalize it with a short vacuum cycle.
